Creating and renaming timeline markers

Blender's timeline markers are used to define the start and end frame on the NLA timeline for each sequence that is to be exported.  Timeline markers are also used to define sequence triggers that fire with an on or off state on specific frames in a sequence.

Timeline markers are created as follows:

  1. In Blender's NLA Editor window, move the current frame indicator (green line) to the frame on which you wish to add a marker:
  2. In the "Marker" menu, click "Add Marker":

A new marker should appear at the current frame:
  3. In the "Marker" menu, click "(Re)Name Marker":

Enter a name for the marker in the "Name" popup that appears:

The marker name should now appear above the marker in the NLA timeline:

Note: A marker may be selected by right-clicking or deselected by shift-right-clicking the marker.
